PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus excellently controlling image contrast by applying an RF (radio frequency) pulse having a desired object such as fat suppression, in a shorter imaging time.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a data collection means collecting magnetic resonance signals by an imaging scan by a pulse sequence of a spin echo (SE) system accompanied by the application of a frequency-selective or slice-selective radio frequency intermediate pulse for controlling contrast and a spoiler gradient magnetic field for suppressing unnecessary signal components continuing from the radio frequency intermediate pulse after applying a radio frequency excitation pulse applied so as to collect the magnetic resonance signals for imaging; and an image data generation means generating image data based on the magnetic resonance signals. |
