The receiving device (2) has receptacle housing (3) and holding frame (4) which is liftable with respect to the housing, and surrounds that bottle or cup container. The lids (5a,5b) are movable in opposite directions for commonly closing and opening the receptacle housing. The lid and holding frame are coupled with one another by forced operation. A synchronization unit displaces the lids between close and open positions in mirror-symmetric manner.
