Disclosed is a method for detecting vibration parameters in a vibration wheel of a vibratory roller. The method comprises: raising the vibration wheel (2) and keeping it suspended; then driving the vibration wheel (2) to vibrate and detecting the vibration parameters of the vibration wheel (2). Further disclosed is a system for detecting vibration parameters in a vibration wheel of a vibratory roller. The system comprises a support (3) for enabling the vibration wheel (2) to remain suspended, and a detection device for detecting the vibration parameters of the vibration wheel. Because it is not necessary to have the vibration wheel in contact with the ground, the vibration wheel is not affected by its surroundings, the correctness of the measured vibration parameter is ensured, and also the effect on its surroundings such as the ground can be efficiently reduced.
