PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion sheet for a rotary electric machine which eliminates or decreases a gap between a coil conductor housed in each slot and a slot inner wall surface and improves the fixability of the coil conductor in each slot compared to a conventional expansion sheet for the rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: In a stator 20 formed by housing coil conductors 18 in slots 14 provided at a stator core 10, an expansion sheet 16 is disposed between the stator core 10 and the coil conductor 18 in each slot 14 and is expanded by heating. In the expansion sheet 16, the volume increase amount of the expansion is larger at the coil conductor 18 side than the stator core 10 side.
