PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the transfer amount of a signal without increasing the frequency of transmission clock when the signal is transmitted by a differential serial scheme.SOLUTION: A transmission method transmits a signal by a differential serial transmission scheme via a pair of transmission lines. The pair of transmission lines is composed of a positive side transmission line for transmitting a positive differential signal, and a negative side transmission line for transmitting a negative differential signal. The positive side transmission line and the negative side transmission line further transmit a common signal. The positive and negative differential signals are signals composed of the voltage with higher potential than the common signal by a voltage of Vs in a voltage level, and the voltage with lower potential than the common signal by the voltage of Vs. When the pair of transmission lines is called one lane of differential transmission lines, the whole of the transmission lines is composed of a plurality of lanes of differential transmission lines. The amplitude of the common signal transmitted by at least two lanes of differential transmission lines of the plurality of lanes is changed over time in synchronization with the positive and negative differential signals. |
