An on-line gaming system comprising: subscribing a plurality of remotely located players, each player selecting one of a plurality of membership levels; assigning said subscribed player with playing privileges in accordance with their membership level; hosting a continuous multi-level game tournament for play by each subscribed player, access to each game hosted within the multi-level game tournament being restricted in accordance with each player's membership level, whereby access for a player to a game at a level higher than permitted by their membership level is only possible through success in a game at an immediately lower game level; awarding players that have obtained success in the continuous multi-level game tournament with one or more primary awards, including access to one or more secondary game tournaments; awarding players that have obtained success in said secondary game tournaments with one or more secondary awards, including access to a multi-level tertiary game tournament. |
