PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition apparatus capable of effectively acquiring distance information while reducing an operation amount and an object detection system equipped with the same.SOLUTION: An information acquisition apparatus comprises: a projection optical system 100 for projecting laser beams to a target area with a predetermined dot pattern; a beam receiving optical system 200 for taking an image of the target area with a CMOS image sensor; a memory for holding a reference template based on a reference image; and a distance acquisition part for acquiring distance information for segment areas on the basis of moving positions, of the segment areas allocated for the reference image, on an actually measured image. The memory stores a distance information table associated with the moving positions of the segment areas Sl, Su that have already been searched. Based on the distance information table stored in the memory and instead of a searching range L0 having a predetermined range, the distance acquisition part sets searching ranges Ll, Lu that are shorter than the searching range L0. |
