PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing a decrease in pressing force due to a separation pad 64 when a fixing belt 610 starts rotation.SOLUTION: The separation pad 64 makes it easy to separate a sheet from the fixing belt 610 by changing the orbit of the fixing belt 610 at the exit side of a nip part N. The separation pad 64 is held so as to be swingable by a swinging member 68. Also, the swinging member 68 is urged so as to rotate in the same direction as the rotating direction of the fixing belt 610 by a spring member 65. The swinging member 68 is swingable around a position 64G further downstream of a fixing roller 611 in the direction of sheet conveyance, and in a position further away from a pressure roller 62 than the nip part N. |
