The circuit includes electronic units, processing modules (K1 to K5) for processing wheel sensor signals (S1 to S4), and a microcomputer which receives the wheel sensor signals. The processing modules include a device (C1) for counting sensor pulses. One or more processing modules are integrated in one electronic unit (SE). The microcomputer is integrated in a separate electronic unit (PE). An independent claim is included for an antilock braking system for motor vehicles.
