The invention relates to a novel method for identifying marker sequences for rheumatoid arthritis, to novel marker sequences found using the method, and to the diagnostic application of said marker sequences. The invention further relates to diagnostic devices containing such marker sequences for rheumatoid arthritis, in particular a protein biochip or beads, and to the use thereof.
