PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast area information generation system and a broadcast area information generation method capable of selecting an optimum reception channel in accordance with a vehicle present position and an antenna installation position.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle unit 100 acquires vehicle present position information, vehicle height information related to an antenna installation position, channel information of a broadcast station receivable or unreceivable at a present position, and reception mode information indicating a reception possibility of a one-segment broadcast/full-segment broadcast, and transmits the pieces of information to a server 200. The server 200 generates broadcast area information including even information on which one of a one-segment broadcast and a full-segment broadcast can be received in accordance with a vehicle height in addition to information on which broadcast station channel can be received, for each digital broadcast receivable area. Thus, an optimum reception channel by which a full-segment broadcast is received as much as possible can be selected in accordance with a vehicle present position and a vehicle height. |
