This invention provides a technique for setting an offset value to the reception power of a reference signal from each of a plurality of base station apparatuses in a wireless communication system supporting a plurality of different precoding methods, taking into account the difference in precoding method. A base station apparatus of the invention uses a plurality of different precoding methods to communicate with at least one terminal apparatus. The base station apparatus of the invention comprises a transmission means that transmits, to the terminal apparatus, a plurality of offset values for the terminal apparatus to add to the reception power of a reference signal from the base station apparatus. The plurality of offset values correspond to the respective ones of the plurality of precoding methods.
