PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier film that does not easily generate cracks, has high gas barrier properties, excels in the adhesion with the base material or other layers accumulated on the base material, and furthermore has an antifouling property.SOLUTION: A gas barrier film has: a coating film layer that is prepared by coating and drying a coating solution including the organic polysilazane that has the silazane structure mainly shown by general formula (1) in a molecular chain on at least one surface of the base material; and an inorganic layer formed by a vapor deposition method. In the gas barrier film, the element composition ratio (C/Si) of carbon and silicon of the coating film layer obtained by measuring the binding energy by the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy from the area of the peak corresponding to Si2P and C1S is ≥0.05 and <3.0. |
