PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique enabling suitable viewing of a main content and provision of sub-content information desired by an individual, in a content reception system using a digital broadcast wave and/or a broadband network.SOLUTION: Each sub-content control receiver A (101), B (102) transmits ID information proper to each sub-content control receiver and a request for acquiring sub-content, from a communication control unit (405) to a main content reception display unit 100. The main content reception display unit 100 separates a sub-content associated with the acquisition request in a content separation control unit (310). A request information input/transmission control unit (313) transmits the separated sub-content and the received ID information to the sub-content control receiver. By the ID information, the sub-content control receiver determines the acquisition of the sub-content.
