A urine work area manager (102) for controlling a urine test strip reader (104) and a urine sediment analyzer (106), wherein the urine work area manager comprises:
a) a computing unit (114) adapted for executing machine executable instructions (120, 122, 124),
b) a first interface (108, 312) adapted for transferring commands and data between the urine test strip reader and the urine work area manager,
c) a second interface (110, 312) adapted for transferring commands and data between the urine sediment analyzer and the urine work area manager,
d) a set of machine executable instructions (122) for performing the following steps:
- instructing the urine test strip reader (200) to analyze a plurality of urine samples using the first interface,
- receiving a strip analysis result (202) from the urine test strip reader using the first interface,
- generating a first set of instructions (204) using the strip analysis result,
- instructing the urine sediment analyzer (206) via the second interface with the first set of instructions to analyze the plurality of urine samples , and
- receiving a sediment analysis result (208) from the urine sediment analyzer using the second interface. |
