<p>The voucher has an article number and a serial number, which are combined and read together in a common barcode (30), particularly in a 128-bit barcode according to the standard Global standards one (GS1)-128. The barcode is divided through the control characters in a section containing the article number and another section containing the serial number. A primary account number is provided with the serial number, a product identification and a bank identification that identifies a voucher supplier. The voucher is formed as a plastic card (10) in a credit card format. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for dispensing a voucher used as a discount coupon; (2) a method for validating a voucher; and (3) a method for redeeming a voucher.</p> |
