PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic fired body which is fired at a low temperature of ≤1,200°C and in which the surface of a base material for the inorganic fired body, containing various kinds of vitreous material-containing materials, has a good glazed surface without being eroded by a glaze. SOLUTION: The inorganic fired body is obtained by doubly applying glazes having different properties onto the surface of a base material for the inorganic fired body, containing, as raw materials, blast furnace slag as a hydraulic inorganic material and vitreous material-containing materials, and then firing the glazed base material at a low temperature of ≤1,200°C. The glaze composition of the glaze applied as a prime coat contains no B<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, and at least a plastic material, a non-plastic material, and a flux material, wherein the content of the plastic material is 25-55 mass%, the content of the non-plastic material is 5-20 mass%, and the content of the flux material is 40-60 mass%, each based on the total solid content.
