An apparatus for multi function peripheral (MFP) graphical user interface gadget management comprises an allocation means for allocating a first printer object and a second printer object to a device object (MFP gadget). The device object is for receiving an instruction to execute a first function, and an instruction to execute a second function. An instruction means is for issuing, when the instruction to execute the first function is received from a user and the first printer object exists, an instruction to perform output using a printer driver allocated to the first printer object, and for issuing, when the instruction to execute the second function is received from the user and the second printer object exists, an instruction to perform output using a printer driver allocated to the second printer object; and the apparatus for includes a deletion means for deleting the device object when the first printer object and the second printer object do not exist. The first and second functions are document printing and faxing respectively and a process enables respective printer and fax objects to be reset or the device object to be deleted. Instructions may be provided by dragging and dropping a document file over the device object. |
