The device (12) has a substrate (13) onto which a shutter (14) is positioned to ensure blocking of a channel. The shutter is movable in translation on the substrate. The shutter is immovable in a safety position by an acceleration lock (17) that is released following to the application of axial acceleration imparted to a projectile during firing. The lock includes a breakable tongue connecting the shutter to the substrate. The tongue is oriented and dimensioned such that axial inertial stresses are developed during firing and exerted on the shutter to cause the tongue to break.
