Radio link management for network assisted device-to-device communication

A method of a first wireless communication device adapted to perform network assisted device-to-device communication is disclosed, wherein a device-to-device communication connection comprises a device-to-device communication link between the first wireless communication device and a second wireless communication device and a device-to-network communication link between the first wireless communication device and a network node. The method comprises monitoring a synchronization of the device-to-device communication link and transmitting a device-to-device communication link report to the network node over the device-to-network communication link if the synchronization of the device-to-device communication link is lost. The method also comprises monitoring a synchronization of the device-to-network communication link and adapting a communication of the device-to-device communication link if the synchronization of the device-to-network communication link is lost. Corresponding computer program product, arrangement and wireless communication device are also disclosed.
