A trolley includes an articulated linkage mechanism 2, 3 for raising and lowering to the ground a platform 1 relative to a frame 7 and wheels 4. The leading edge of the platform 1 may include an insignificant lip which may touch the ground in the lowered attitude. The platform may remain essentially level between the raised and lowered attitudes and hence a load may be transported without excessive tilting. A handle 2 may be used to raise and lower the platform and to pull the trolley. Castors may be provided on the trolley fixed to the frame 7 or the platform 1. |
