The present invention relates to a belt building drum which molds a belt in tire manufacture and, specifically, to a variable belt building drum for tire manufacture which shortens the replacement time of a segment when a size is changed and facilitates the circumference modulation of the belt building drum by a linear guide. To this end, the variable belt building drum winds a steel cord by expanding and contracting a segment unit (4) comprising a basis segment (4a) and an added segment (4b) in the radiation direction with a segment plate (3) connected to a pneumatic cylinder (2) at a drum shaft (1). The segment plate connected to the pneumatic cylinder is connected to a linear guide link (6) with a hinge axis (5). A leading end pinion portion (7) of the linear guide link is combined with a rack portion (8) formed in the basis segment of the segment unit and contracts and expands the segment unit in the radiation direction based on the drum shaft. The basis segment of the segment unit and the added segment are a structure which is connected and separated in an one-touch method by a locking lever (10) supported elastically by a spring (9) at the added segment. |
