The present invention relates to an SCAR marker for distinguishing Miscanthus sacchariflorus which is a high yield perennial energy crop, which is able to quickly distinguish Miscanthus sacchariflorus from other Miscanthus without the influence in a culture environment or growth time. One side of the present invention provides a method for distinguishing Miscanthus sacchariflorus comprising the steps of: isolating genomic DNA from Miscanthus; amplifying a target sequence by RAPD-PCR using the isolated genomic DNA as a template and a primer of sequence number 1; and identifying the position of bands of the amplified DNA by electroporation.
