The structure (1) has high and low pressure exhaust manifolds (21, 22) in communication with a combustion chamber (4) by exhaust valves (6, 7). A pressurized gas storage tank (30) and a gas switching unit (40) are arranged, so that the low pressure exhaust manifold, gas supply (25) and the tank are connected with respect to each other. The switching unit is arranged to communicate the low pressure exhaust manifold with the container and downstream of turbine (23) in respective switching modes. The unit allows a passage sealed transition phase from one of the modes to another mode.
