摘要 Provided is a glass substrate having at least one surface which does not bulge. The plate thickness of a glass substrate (51) is expressed as T (µm). The distance from a surface (52) of the glass substrate (51) to a bubble (57) present within the glass substrate (51) is expressed as D (µm). The sphere-equivalent diameter of the bubble present in a layer at a distance equal to or smaller than T/2(µm) from at least one surface(52) satisfies the expression e = 0.01×D1.6 + 15, where e(µm) is the sphere-equivalent diameter of the bubble. In an instance in which the glass substrate (51) has been drawn from a glass ribbon manufactured using a float method, the distance (D) to the bubble (57) is defined using, as a reference, the surface of the glass substrate that corresponds to the bottom surface.
