The embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and device for resource management, and small-bandwidth user equipment. The method for resource management includes: according to a system downlink transmission bandwidth, or according to a system downlink transmission bandwidth and the maximum downlink transmission bandwidth of small-bandwidth user equipment, determining a downlink transmission resource configured for the small-bandwidth user equipment by a cell. The method and device for resource allocation provided in the present invention are intended to solve the problems of small-bandwidth user equipment accessing a wideband system, and can allow the small-bandwidth user equipment and conventional user equipment to coexist within one and the same frequency band by means of resource management, without causing the waste of a special frequency band resource. |
