摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid enlargement and large weight of a propulsion unit including an electric outboard motor and a battery.SOLUTION: In the battery charger of an electric outboard motor for charging a rechargeable battery 32, a rotor 36 connected with a power transmission system for rotating a propeller 18, and a stator 37 connected with a rechargeable battery 32 via a power source cable 34 are coupled separably. A propulsion motor 13 is provided in an electric outboard motor 10, a charging rotor being rotary driven by a charging motor is provided, and a charger is installed on the land. Power is generated when the charging rotor rotates in a state where the stator 37 separated from the rotor 36 of the propulsion motor 13 is crowned with the charging rotor of a charger. The power thus generated is led from the stator 37 via the power source cable 34 to the rechargeable battery 32 which is thereby charged.
