PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing high-quality speech recognition results within a turnaround time (the amount of time between when the speech is spoken and when the speech recognizer produces output) without requiring low-latency high-availability network connections.SOLUTION: A hybrid speech recognition system 100 uses a client-side speech recognition engine and a server-side speech recognition engine to produce speech recognition results for the same speech. An arbitration engine produces speech recognition output on the basis of one or both of the client-side and server-side speech recognition results. |
