PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus in which its size and cost can be further reduced by adapting a simply-structured and space-saving carriage lock mechanism.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: a carriage 6 that includes a recording head for recording on a sheet and reciprocates in a predetermined direction; a housing 2 having a sheet ejection port 2b; and a sheet delivery tray 4 that includes a restriction part 4a for restricting the carriage 6 to a home position region by engaging with the carriage 6, and opens and closes a sheet delivery port 2b. While the sheet delivery tray 4 is closed, the restriction part 4a advances to a moving region of the carriage 6 and restricts the carriage 6 to the home position region. |
