PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the device capable of suppressing decrease in the production yield.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device includes drawing a sealing material on a first substrate in the following manner, dropping a liquid crystal material onto a region enclosed by the sealing material, and laminating the first substrate and a second substrate. The sealing material is drawn, from a start point at a position outside a first corner of an active area on the first substrate, obliquely advancing to a side farther from the active area, then advancing straight and parallel to a first side of the active area, passing outside a second corner of the active area, advancing straight and parallel to a second side of the active area, passing outside a third corner of the active area, advancing straight and parallel to a third side of the active area, passing outside a fourth corner of the active area, advancing straight and parallel to a fourth side of the active area, then obliquely advancing to a side nearer to the active area as approaching the first corner, and then finishing at a position overlapping the start point. |
