PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus having improved operability when a user sets a setting item on a setting menu screen composed of a hierarchical structure in detail.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: display means 52 that is composed of a touch panel, and that, when a user performs a touch operation to select a desired setting item from setting items on a setting menu screen displayed on a display screen, opens and displays a setting menu screen for setting details of the selected setting item from a hierarchical setting menu screen; selection method determination means that determines how many fingers are used by the user to select the displayed setting item; layer determination means that determines the layer of a setting menu screen to be opened subsequently, in accordance with the determined number of fingers; and display control means that performs control to display the layer of an arbitrary setting menu on the screen of the display means, and that causes the display means to display the setting menu screen on the layer determined by the layer determination means. |
