PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin container as a square shaped bottle with chamfered corner parts, designed to enhance lateral load-bearing strength by forming a waist part in a container body, and to enhance longitudinal load-bearing strength by preventing buckling from starting from the bottom parts of the waist part located at chamfered parts against a longitudinal load.SOLUTION: A part of a body 4 is radially narrowed down, to form a waist part 40 that comprises a waist bottom part 401, and waist inclined surfaces 402 connected to each of the upper end edge side and the lower end edge side of the waist bottom part 401. The waist bottom part 402 comprises a side-surface waist bottom part 401a located at each of side surface parts 41 of the body 4, and a chamfered waist bottom part 401b located at each of chambered parts 42 of the body 4. A three-dimensional shape is added to each of the chamfered waist bottom part 401b of the waist part 40. |
