PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous composition for manufacturing hard hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose capsule and a manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A hard hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose capsule is manufactured by using a composition comprising a film forming material of hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose including a content of 27.0 to 30.0% (w/w) of methoxy and a content of 4.0 to 7.5% (w/w) of hydroxypropoxy and having a viscosity of 3.5 to 6.0 cPs at 20°C as 2 wt.% solution.
