<p>In one aspect, a microfluidic device with an integrated pneumatic microvalve is provided, which microfluidic device comprises a cover layer (101) and a bottom layer (105); an elastic layer (103); a first double-adhesive layer (102) between the cover layer (101) and the elastic layer (103), comprising a reaction channel (106) or a control channel (107); and a second double-sided adhesive layer (104) between the elastic layer (103) and the bottom layer (105), comprising a control channel (107) or a reaction channel (106), wherein the intersection between the control channel (107) with the reaction channel (106) forms a pneumatic microvalve. In another aspect, a method of making the microfluidic device with an integrated pneumatic microvalve is provided. Further, a method for conducting multiple reactions using the microfluidic device is provided.</p> |
