PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously perform the ejection inspection of an optically-detectable ink and the ejection inspection of an ink which are hardly optically detected during printing.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus includes: a first ejection part having a first driving element for allowing a first ink to be ejected from a nozzle; a second ejection part having a second driving element for allowing a second ink to be ejected from a nozzle; a first driving signal generating part for generating a first driving signal applied to the first driving element; a second driving signal generating part for generating a second driving signal applied to the second driving element; a control part that applies the first driving signal to the first driving element to allow the first ink to be ejected and also applies the second driving signal to the second driving element to allow the second ink to be ejected in order to form an image; a first inspection part that inspects the first ejection part on the basis of the image formed on a medium by the first ink; and a second inspection part that detects vibration of the second ejection part and inspects the second ejection part based on the vibration.
