PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately maintain a power saving state.SOLUTION: A communication device capable of adding a communication control program for controlling communication control comprises: automatic response means for executing response to received data in a power saving state in place of the communication control program; and setting means for collecting automatic response information including a condition about received data for response by the automatic response means and response data contained in the response from the communication control program and for setting the automatic response information in the automatic response means. The automatic response means returns the response data contained in the automatic response information under the condition concerned when the received data in the power saving state satisfies the condition, and restores the communication device from the power saving state when the received data does not satisfy the condition.
