PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device and a medical device assembly which make it possible, in therapy of emphysema using a deformable cover member, to perform an operation of putting the cover member onto a lug easily and speedily and which materialize a minimally invasive treatment of emphysema.SOLUTION: A medical device 100 includes a cover member 10 and a holding member 20. The cover member 10 includes: an accommodating section 11 which is provided so as to be able to accommodate either one of a right lung and a left lung of a living body and which is freely deformable according to inflation and deflation of a lung in a state in which the lung is accommodated therein; and an opening 13 through which the lung is introduced into the accommodating section. The holding member 20 is provided at the opening of the cover member, deforms the aperture shape of the opening by having its oppositely located arbitrary portions brought closer to or away from each other, and functions to hold the aperture area of the opening constant before and after the deformation. |
