PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow communication to be performed by using a more appropriate electronic certificate even when the communication using any of a plurality of electronic certificates fails in a communication device having the plurality of electronic certificates.SOLUTION: When authentication processing performed by using any of a plurality of client certificates stored in a client certificate region fails (YES at a step 190), the plurality of client certificates other than the client certificate used at the time of failure is set as transmission certificates (a step S250), and the authentication processing is performed again by using the transmission certificates. Thus, when an electronic certificate capable of performing communication is included in a plurality of electronic certificates, there is a possibility that the communication might succeed by using the certificate and the communication might be able to be performed by using the appropriate electronic certificate. |
