The present invention relates to a detection of methylation levels of a gene promoter which tends to show psoriasis-specific methylation and, more specifically, to a method for detecting methylation of a promoter of a gene located in X chromosome for providing information on psoriasis diagnosis and a composition for diagnosing psoriasis, containing a formulation which measures methylation levels. The method and the composition provide genetic information for diagnosing psoriasis, thereby effectively diagnosing psoriasis.
