The present invention relates to a bilayered levodropropizine sustained release tablet comprising an immediate release layer containing levodropropizine and a sustained release layer containing release controlling polymers. The levodropropizine sustained release tablet is orally administered and has immediate antitussive and expectorant effects. Also, the levodropropizine sustained release tablet enables to maintain a constant concentration of a drug in the plasma, reduces the frequency of intake, and enhances drug compliance.
