The present invention relates to a polyhydroxyalkanoate containing a 2-hydroxybutyrate as a monomer, a recombinant microorganism having the ability to produce the polyhydroxyalkanoate containing the 2-hydroxybutyrate as the monomer, and a method for preparing the polyhydroxyalkanoate containing the 2-hydroxybutyrate as the monomer.
