Provided are an ultrasonic transducer, an ultrasonic probe, and an ultrasonic image diagnosis instrument. The ultrasonic transducer includes a piezoelectric layer; a sound matching layer on the top surface of the piezoelectric layer; and a plurality of rear layers which are placed on the bottom surface of the piezoelectric layer and have different sound impedance from each other. By designing the sound impedance and the thickness of the rear layers appropriately, the sensitivity, the bandwidth, and the pulse length can be controlled.
