Disclosed are a terminal device for intelligent power distribution and an information providing method for determining failure using the same. The terminal device for intelligent power distribution comprises an input unit which is connected to a power distribution device and receives voltage and current signals; a comparison and determination unit which compares and determines phases of the voltage and current signals outputted from the power distribution device to phases of signals outputted from a substation; a first storage unit which stores the voltage and current signals based on the phase of the power distribution device; a second storage unit which stores the voltage and current signals based on the phase of the substation; a failure detection unit which detects failure by analyzing events generated in a power distribution line; and a central processing unit which transmits failure detection information to a central control device based on the phase of the power distribution device and the phase of the substation.
