The press has a punch (1) and a die (2), where the punch comprises a working surface (1a) to press a sheet part supported by the die. A periphery of the punch comprises a series of vertical throats (7) leading to a side surface (1b) of the punch and on the work surface. The throats are regularly distributed on a periphery of the punch. The punch is surrounded by a blank holder (3). The throats are emerged in a space (8) ranging between the blank holder and the side surface of the punch, where the throats are machined in metal of the punch.
