PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire and a method for manufacturing the same, that reduce weight and a manufacturing cost, while securing wear resistance.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire includes: an inclined belt layer formed of at least one inclined belt made of cords that extend while being inclined with respect to a tire circumferential direction; and a spiral belt layer which is arranged on the outer circumferential side of the inclined belt layer and made of cords that extend in a tire circumferential direction. At least 70% of a tread grounded width centering a tire equatorial plane is made a cord sparse area 13, and areas other than the cord sparse area are made cord dense areas 14A and 14B. In the cord sparse area, cord arrangement areas 13A where cords are arranged at predetermined intervals in a tire width direction, and rubber areas 13B where the cords are not arranged, are alternately arranged repeatedly 20 times or more in a tire width direction. In the cord dense area, cords are arranged at predetermined intervals in a tire width direction. |
