PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothes dryer with high safety in which there is no fear that static electricity caused in drying clothes works as an ignition source even if a flammable refrigerant leaks.SOLUTION: In a clothes dryer provided with a heat pump using a flammable refrigerant, if no refrigerant leakage is detected, the operation of a fan and the heat pump is stopped when a drying rate reaches a first prescribed value larger than 100%, and if refrigerant leakage is detected, the operation of the fan and the heat pump is stopped when the drying rate reaches a second prescribed value larger than 100% and lower than the first prescribed value. |
