PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strengthen leg muscles by letting a user perform walking training in a manner that the user moves one foot according to the position of the other foot.SOLUTION: A walking training device 1 includes; right endless belts 21, 22 on which the right foot is placed, left endless belts 21, 22 on which the left foot is placed, and a motor 24 for driving these endless belts 21, 22. The device also includes force plates 31, 32 to detect the position of the left foot and the right foot, and a position sensing unit to detect positions from load detection sensors 33a-h. According to positions detected by this position sensing unit, the motor 24 is controlled to move endless belts 21, 22 forward and backward from there based on the position of the other foot. By this mechanism, even if the left foot is located 10 cm backward from the right foot, on the basis of the right foot, the left foot moves forward for only a distance indicated from there. |
