PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of stabilizing a fuel injection amount without increasing dimensional accuracy of an elastic member to a higher degree, and to provide a method for manufacturing the fuel injection valve.SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve 100 includes: a nozzle member 60 having a fuel passage 60a communicating with an injection hole 60b; a valve body 51 that opens/closes the fuel passage 60a by means of reciprocating movement; an elastic part 56 which can be elastically deformed when the fuel passage 60a is closed by the movement of the valve body 51 in a closing direction, wherein the elastic part 56 is attached to either the nozzle member 60 or the valve body 51 and closes the fuel passage 60a by coming into contact with one in the nozzle member 60 and the valve body 51 when the valve body 51 moves in the closing direction; and a stopper 70 which comes into contact with the valve body 51 and restricts the movement of the valve body 51 in the closing direction. The stopper 70 is formed with a member different from the nozzle member 60.
