摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control a state of charge of a power storage device by reflecting the performance variation of an onboard power storage device so as not to damage operability of an electric vehicle and startability of an engine.SOLUTION: An SOC of a power storage device that is mounted on an electric vehicle which is selectively provided an EV mode to travel to positively use accumulated electric power of a power storage device and an HV mode to travel to maintain accumulated electric power of the power storage device is controlled so as not to come off from SOC control ranges 151 and 152. When the SOC estimated value reaches a control lower limit SOCl in the vehicle travel, charging of the power storage device by an onboard electric power generation mechanism is started. At low temperature and deterioration of the power storage device, when the performance degradation of the power storage device is concerned, the control lower limit SOCl in the HV mode rises more than normal time.
