PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a method that is high in selectivity and recovery efficiency of noble metal and can reuse substance used for recovering noble metal.SOLUTION: A mixed solution of polar organic solvent and water is prepared, which contains pH responsive polymer and gold ion and/or platinum ion as a composition unit represented by formula (1) and of which pH is higher than 9.1. Next, the pH of the mixed solution is made lower than 9.1 to form an aggregate of pH responsive polymer and gold and/or platinum. Then, the aggregate is recovered from the mixed solution.
